Spend Time Alone:

Time: Up to 24 hrs

Instructions:

Many of us lead busy lives and interact with numerous people throughout the day. Though social relationships are important for wellbeing, taking time away from the pressures of social interaction is also important to maintain a healthy mental state. So, take time out of your day to be alone with yourself and your thoughts only. During this time: - Ask yourself what is the root of any positive emotions you might be feeling? - Ask yourself what might be causing any negative emotions you are feeling? - Take time to do what makes YOU happy

Evidence:

Spending time alone can help people recharge and reflect. Studies have found that people feel less self-conscious when they are alone [Larson (2006). The Emergence of Solitude as a Constrictive Domain of Experience in Early Adolescence].
